Serious Horizon Questions
First off, I know I know I know!!! I know if I go there, I'll be 50 before I'm sitting in the left seat. I know others (sky high) call it a dead end. And I've also heard everthing else bad about them, however, I would still like to work there. What are the junior bases? What aircraft do they put new hires into? If you have 121 turbine time, could you get the CRJ 700? Or, are there lots of "high timers" that apply there. Finally, what are there schedules like? 4 day trips? 3 day trips? Local trips? Any help would be great. Thanks.....

Let's see:
The only bases are Seattle (DHC8-200 only), Portland, and Denver. Hard to say which is 'junior' as we hire into all. I guess maybe Denver is most junior, but you can certainly get hired into Portland (by far the biggest base) and into the RJ. I think experience helps with equipment type, but timing may be as big a factor.
I am in the RJ, and we have 1, 2, 3, and 4 day trips. Let me know if you want, I can email you all of the current bid packets so you can look at the trips.
Upgrade at the moment is between 5.5 and 6 years. Most new hires are typical regional new-hires: young and relatively low-time (I can't give you specifics, don't know).
Glad to help, let me know if you need more info.
