Horizon Updates?
 

There hasn't been much about Horizon on the boards lately. Any word on recalls, future hiring, fleet changes, morale, etc?

I wish there was better to report. Still 84 on furlough and they are getting 3 new Q400. They have talked about parking 3 RJ or some Q400. They are downgrading people from the CRJ to the Q400 . Morale, not good. Nothing good to report. Hope for the best. If it wasn't for some of the great people that I have flown with and hung out with, it wouldn't sting so bad.

Rumor is LA base in fall 2010.

As mentioned no talk of recalls, so no talk of hiring. Taking 3 new Q's this fall but not going to staff them. From the pilots I still talk to they are extremely short staffed and management seemed to acknowledge this as well... but again, no talk of recalls. Apparently they still want to sell all their 700's but no one is interested.

LavChange, I briefly heard that rumor as well, however with no source or any other info. Do you have anymore info. on that?

I heard that the CP has been going into recurrent ground schools and saying it. Haven't heard it first hand though. Also heard management is considering first class in the Q....gotta laugh at that one.

Yeah, I hope it is going to be in the aft rows since that is where everyone gets moved for w&b anyway!
