Default Are you back at QX now?

With the mins of 1200 TT, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a hard time attracting people. They used to ba able to sell living in the northwest SEA/PDX but now all new hires are going to go to MFR for a while. How long ? Depends if we get more planes.
There are bad apples out there that shouldn't be pilots. And do some good people get shown the door? Of course , but in every industry it happens. I'm not trying to back the decision that was made but rationally, this does not makes sense.

PS- your attitude sucks and I hope you're not at Horizon.

Local Seattle folks. They were told maybe to go get "some" turbine time. Both were "older". Also, if you are coming from Seattle they will only offer you standby on the early flight out of SEA at 6 am. Miss it and you are SOL. Hotel at your expense. They only intended to hire 1 or 2 that day. Tells me alot that they wasted the time and money of the other folks to come for an interview at all.
I was one of three that interviewed the day I was there. Two of us got the offer. No turbine time. No internal recs. Of my new-hire class, no one had any prior 121 experience. All were CFI's. Two were former interns. Many were pretty darn low time.

It's getting much more difficult for Horizon to attract candidates. That much is obvious when your upgrade time is 12 years... Pretty much the only people who want to work here are the local Pacific Northwest people. With the new domiciles, even that motivation will shrink.
