It makes perfect sense to me. QX pilots are trained to the same standards as AS pilots, right down to the way approaches are briefed and flown. Its a fairly seamless transition for QX folks moving to AS since its really only learning a new aircraft, not an entire operational system.

Hiring like mad, just like every other regional out there. With the exception of ANC, new hires can get any base they want in the system.

Yes, even SEA and PDX. From day one.

No news on expansion...yet.

Three years in at this place for me. Happy I'm here. Good company, good pay, decent contract. Upgrade time is high, but it's ticking downward. I'd say get your app in and enjoy living in base. Beats commuting to fly a fifty seat RJ that's on the verge of extinction.

Word during AQP a couple of weeks ago is 5-7 more planes in the next year to year and a half. Mostly for inter-Alaska flying. That's from the CP's office.

Any idea what kind of time people are getting called with? Is a degrees a big deal to QX?
