They're hiring 100 a month because they're trying to keep up with attrition, just like everyone else. I honestly think Skywest's management teams is one of the smarter ones out there... they'd probably try to stockpile extra pilots right now if they could.

They only lost 35 last month.. If i was a betting man.. Alaska will go to Horizon and say. Sorry. You don't get the E175's. But if you do take the cuts will keep the 20 and fly them in the state Alaska...

Nah, we'll be a fleet of 32 Q's. If there aren't jets, we won't have cuts.

This is correct. If the contract is agreed upon and we do get jets, the flying on the Dash will be hard, fatiguing, and not pay well.

That much we do know for sure! I live in BOI and I'm thinking about leaving regardless of the outcome of all this.

I'm a former QXer and my six years of dealing with AAG says that the decision has already been made by the BOD. If you all give concessions, I fear that you will just be feathering their nest at your expense. I'd tell AAG (because make no mistake about it. They're the ones making the decision), to pound sand. Good luck!!!
