No anger at all I’m very happy not flying for a regional airline while being paid less than a burger flipper, why did you argue the amount being deducted? the bonus is wrong SAY IT don’t argue the taxes.
to go to a regional now is to support the pilot second class, my suggestion is to get the ratings and find a job that gives a good quality of life until the regionals die a slow death.

I never said anything about deductions. I'm done arguing with you about this. My qol is pretty amazing. If you want to be an airline pilot, for now the only path is to fly for a regional unless you were military. So you're saying all 17,000 or so of us regional pilots are doing it wrong? Cool story. Condescend much?
Yep being paid burger flipping wages flying for the regionals is wrong.
I know of three new pilots that have to answer Yes to the question “Have you ever been investigated by the FAA” because their captains were doofus’s and screwed up.
the money doesn’t justify the risk
and yes I was military my QOL is great i won’t ever fly for the regionals again my problem is I was a helo pilot so flying a 152 VFR to an 8000’ runway is “better than flying at night to the back end of a boat in a war zone” on ALL major applications

Ya you’re right it may be the fact i don’t have a Facebook twitter or link in goggle account or maybe its because I don’t go to Women in Aviation OBAP or NGPA because I’m not a woman black or gay. I’m a pilot with a very diverse flying back ground but “my” diversity isn’t the kind the majors want.

Sounds like your attitude isn't the kind the majors want.

I’ll be the first to admit my attitude isn’t what the majors want given how they have treated pilots since 2001, if you’re at a regional and you feel they are treating you correctly you have bought into the PC world the majors have created. It is no longer about how good of pilot you are or the experience you have but about the willingness to be PC and meek when it comes to maltreatment by airline management.

You're arguing with a self-entitled military helicopter pilot who worked at "DepressJet" (his words) and thinks the world owes him something while thinking he is doing the lord's work for our youth. You'd have a better chance trying to remain conscious head butting the sidewalk as hard as you can than conversing rationally with gazoo.

Anyway i hope you guys make it through this and get your qol back. I was one of those guys that grew up wanting to work for horizon/alaska, but i've been reading the threads.. might go elsewhere. it's a buyer's market.

so I'm one of the students in this guy's (JC) class. At first i appreciated the perspective but now his class is basically a rant about the industry two times a week.. a lot of the stuff he says is obviously wrong/biased. Insane that we're paying to hear him talk about rumors and his bitter time at depressjet.. no idea how he got hired to teach, it's embarrassing.
