Means.. lets say im the CEO. They give me 10,000 shares... i have to say. Ok in 5 years on july 3, 2022 i want to sell 4000 shared. In 15 years i want to sell 2,000 shares. And the rest 2 years after that.. that way there is no "insider" trading.. its all pre-determined...

Want to see what the Alaska Air Group Exec's make in stock compensation?
Google: Yahoo Finance Alaska Air. Then click the "Holders" link. Then click the "insider transactions" link and scroll down.
They sell shares on a monthly basis, mostly automatically to prevent alleged conflicts of interest. The top 20 or so Alaska Execs are on this list. Depending on the month of the year, a lot of stock is sold (millions of dollars) per person. Corporations at the Board of Directors level want their Execs to be compensated in stock, as an incentive to focus on the stock price (that's part of the job).
You'll see all these folks making more money in a month in stock sales, then any of us will make in a lifelong career at Horizon Air. They also purchase the stock often for $0/share. The Board of Directors, also get compensated in stock, it all a part of the grande corporate pyramid scheme. Their salaries are a pittance compared to their stock compensation.
Airline employees (the vast majority) are the working poor. A few are crowned at the top as millionaires, who run the show, even if they don't work nearly as hard as the rest.
Looks like the definition of Corporate Greed and sadly pervasive in corporate America. Does any one person, really work hard enough to merit such compensation disparity. They're just a the top of the pyramid, that's it, many other people out there, and highly qualified could do their job for a fraction of the cost.
