We have 5 flights a day from BLI-SEA, it's not hard. A bunch of guys commute from there, lots of AS pilots too.

We haven't heard much about ANC after the reduction. The company doesn't want to TDY people so they were thinking of doing 4 day trips where the first and last day would be a deadhead to and from the lower 48, a huge waste honestly.

Sorry to hear about Compass, I guess it would depend on what your goals are. If you want to upgrade as fast as possible Skywest would be your best bet because they're under a year now, but you would be going to detroit/ord on the RJ. With our growth (if we get the pilots) we will probably go down to 1.5 years I'm thinking.

Default Horizon reserve

Could one potentially sit reserve in Bli? What is the call out policy?

The callout is 2 hours for short call and 12 for long. If you got a 2 hour notice that's a dice roll because if you don't get on the plane you could be screwed.
It would be stressful.

I left Horizon for Compass. Even after the switch to IOCC, losing six planes, and MSP closing it's still better at Compass. If you're not happy at CP you won't be happy at QX.

Thanks!

I am happy at Compass, I just want to fly, not sit reserve. I also want to see movement in the right direction. I am not picky about pay (regionals all suck!), hotels, etc.

I need to fly and I need to upgrade, all else is secondary.

You start your reserve period and the company has to give you 12 hours notification if they are assigning you a trip, great for commuters. It comes with our new contract. Long call reservists will also be able to pick up open time.
