Well as long as they are 64 it will be Ok to listen to "Alternative facts" , now if they are 63 it would be a different story because I will have to put with it for a whole 2 years and that goes beyond my listening endurance for non-sense.

Was just curious. Had a buddy that was awarded back in February that just started today. Wasn't sure how long the wait normally was from award to class.

It should be around 4-5 weeks normally.. The FLICA bid is usually done on the 10th of the month and the award gets posted at the end of the month...The guys/girls who all got screwed in the april bid for captain (which was done in feb/early march when we launched flica I believe) are now finally going in May.

No, it won't be lifted.
It was going to be reduced from 4 years to 2, but that only benefits the lifer FOs, because the important part in our contract they will not touch is "Anyone who switches from FO on one type to a different type will be seatlocked as an FO on that type for 2 years. "
So any FO who has been here for two years is going to be within months of upgrade on the Q400, and if they go to the jet they will be stuck as an FO on the jet for another 2 years. Not worth it at all.

questions about the flight benefits:
- do you get to pick a travel companion if you aren't married?
- and which airlines can you non rev on to Europe? I was told you can standby on almost every airline, not sure if I believe it
- can you still get upgraded if you fly standby on another airline?

You get 20 guest passes per year. If they travel with you they get your boarding priority. If you aren't married you can pick a domestic partner and get the same benefit.
You can non-rev on almost any airline international, wouldn't count on getting upgraded though.
