QX is fine and you should be optimistic it's an outsider that needs to shut his pie hole because he feels entitled to progress at the demise of others

The one question I have been asking myself about this whole deferral of ERJ orders is, why isnt the company just parking Q400's?

Its quite obvious that the future of Horizon is the ERJ, many of the older Q400's are nearing half life and need 40,000 hour checks. Those inspections cost north of $1.5 million. It would make MUCH more sense to me that they simply start parking the older Q's and focus on getting the initial order of ERJ's staffed, even if that means transitioning more pilots from the Q400.

It almost seems as if AAG is intentionally trying to run this place into the ground. Its sad really.

Oh, we DO want to know the truth! the 2016 CBA has provisions that REQUIRE all the initial firm order of ERJs be flown by Horizon. The IBT simply wants to see the specifics of the order between Air Group and Embraer so that we can hold them accountable. I have a feeling they are with holding the order information because they are indeed in violation of the CBA.

Not blaming the pilots. It's all manegements fault. None the less, not good. If you are optomistic about the future of Horizon, why?

Have I missed something? What's the unions answer? Give us more airplanes we can't fly?
You may have missed something. As I read it, the union has filed suit in order to force AAG to give them the information detailing exactly what is being done with these "deferrals", not to force AAG to bring them onto the property. They are being evasive, when they have no right to be.
(Filing a lawsuit is the only language corporate legal understands.)

The agreement was made between the union and the company, and the company seems to have decided to stonewall the union. Not acceptable.

There needs to be some open discussions between the two groups, that will be when they can discuss the fate of the jets vs. what the employees gave up for the "promise" of getting them. That's the breach of the CBA.

As an aside, I used to think the idea of a flow-through was a pipe dream. I don't think it is any longer. I understand that over the past year AS HR has moved into PDX and has taken over making the hiring decisions for QX.
If they pick them in the first place, I don't see why they would resist allowing them to flow to the mother ship. I doubt this would happen very soon, but I'd say the odds are better than 50/50 now.

I think theyd rather just give more flying to 00 than offer a flow through. Just ask Hornibrook what he thinks of a flow through! lol

True, but I doubt he has any say in deciding what AirGroup®'s corporate finance arm will allow to be published. (ie: I wouldn't hold this one against him.)

Those discussions between Angle Lake and Embraer are likely considered top-secret back in SEA. They'd likely never let them go without the lawsuit.
