What's happening at Horizon and Jets?

What will it take
1. Stop vilotaing the CBA
2. Start valuing your employees (ALL OF Them)
3. Stop resetting to goal line
4. Merge forget flow through
5 reinstate 401K to
Previous levels
6 Stop the fights with labor i.e. Honor commitments agreed too mutually.
7 those that got fired saying their way was better have been proven wrong learn and go back to quality Vs quantity

Just a troll. Don't feed him. Eight or so months ago he made the same silly prediction about the fate of QX.
Since then we've added 9 airframes and seen the seniority list grow almost 15%. Upgrades are now down to regulatory minimums. Hotels are better and our union is far less chummy with the company and actually holding their feet to the fire.
It's not unicorns and sunshine but then, we're adults, we shouldn't expect it to be.

About eight months ago I started asking questions about what I saw coming this summer. It has largely come to pass.
I'm still just asking questions. I'm still not seeing any answers.
You say you have added 9 airframes. How many of the 175's are you flying on a daily basis? Four? Five? You have access to your flow board. How many Q400s have been pulled offline? A year ago you were operating 54, how many today?
Your seniority list has grown by 15%? How many are still in training? How many are "cadets" flying on Horizon's dime, while still building time? If things are looking up, would flight schedules have been reduce for August and again in September? Yesterday you had an adjusted completion factor of 94.2%, that's actually up from an average of around 92% for August. Cancelling flights for lack of crews isn't consistant with a growing seniority list and you are cancelling about 7% of your flights every day. Not good for keeping the J.D. Powers award Alaska covets so much.
If things are improving, would the Seattle times be running articles about you?

For that matter, if things are OK, why did they just defer deliveries of all future 175's this year?
Perhaps I erred in calling the unions actions belligerant, but that is how I read the tone of the message.
Hopefully facts will be forthcoming and you will have some answers.
Our schedules have gone to complete Shyte with all of the flying we are covering for you. If Horizon drags Alaska down, that will adversely impact not just me, but a whole lot of people. I want to see Horizon get it's act together or just go away. Sorry, I know it's not your fault, AT ALL. But there it is.

Agree. We're witnessing the beginning of the end for the present Regional model. No longer can pilots at regional carriers be treated like a second class caste and compensated at 30% of the mainline partners. Flow through is a start in the right direction but it's really a B-scale in disguise and ripe for abuse and unfulfilled promises. Regional management either is lacking the talent or the full control to pull out of the spiral it's heading in, I suspect some of both. PennAir recently filed CH11 now facing a mass pilot exodus, more will follow the same fate, a few will survive another 3-5 years before the transformation will be clear.

I think I found this dude via trolltrace.
Everything you "ask" about is simply a pathetisad attempt to make QX look worse off than it is, in the guise of dramatic prognostication. The answers to your pointed questions are within this thread (and you know them well as you've been vexing this thread for far too long).
To those reading this thread seeking ACTUAL answers, wondering what the state of QX is: We've all given it to you straight for the last 12 months or so, it's not rosy here, but it's really not at any regional either.
Here are facts.
One of the major gripes is contract violations. Luckily we have a union that is standing up for us at every turn, and the major perpetrator of those heinous violations has been ousted. Don't buy into the anti-union freeloaders around here. The union committees have a direct effect on the quality of the schedules here, and provide a mechanism, backed by federal law, to resolve disputes.
We are growing. We have 7 of 9 airframes flying today. Why the other two aren't flying, I don't know. We still don't have the whole route structure rolled out yet so the bridges may not be there to cross yet. Or is could be regular mtx.
Our seniority list is growing. Doesn't matter if they're trainees or not. It's growing. We don't "pad" our list with 'cadets' that are building time. That might be a SkyWest thing.
With our growth in seniority numbers and airframes, we pose a risk to Jonneaux's precious SkyWest portland base. Perhaps that's why he may be a bit irritable lately?

I second that statement! QX was my first choice because of where i live and past reputation of the airline. But once i found out what AG and management was doing to the people I couldnt come there. I feel bad for what is happening. not gloating that we are getting some of your work.
