What I surmise is that short term coverage is being done by skywest on the crj side anyways and that will continue into next year then transfer over to erj once the new planes come online in q2 2018, as opposed to us receiving what were initially QX orders, in the near term. Pure conjecture. Then again I doubt embraer wants built and painted aircraft sitting around idle at the factory collecting dust.

I feel like the airplane announcements are being recycled making it sound like there are more oo airframes than reality.
There were 5 from the 2nd Quarter earnings call that might have been made public by accident. So if 10 (in total) were announced today then that means really its 5 more being announced today. (?)
Maybe.

Horizon deferring delivery sucks, but I don't think there is a finite amount of airplanes. What I am trying to say is that I don't see why our two airlines have to be mutually exclusive and maybe they are not.

Default Jet futures

On top of everything else, QX recruiting is trying everything they can think of to talk new hires/prospects into the Q400. It's like pulling teeth to get a jet class. Doesn't sound to me as though staffing the jets is of the utmost concern...

What's even more interesting is that people are actually interested in working here! Go to Skywest, you'll have a better chance of flying a jet with an Eskimo on the tail.

It appears management hasn't learned a thing, or changed out the underhanded tactics. Making excuses with letters and emails. The results will probably be continued use of the pilot revolving door. In one side then out the other.

But they are analyzing the situation! And JH will be streamlining the training department! We just need to restructure the flight department and end evaluate the situation.

Is too bad, would be great to go somewhere based in the NW, offers a bonus, and will (eventually - maybe) have their own RTP. I'd be giving up $30k right from the start to go to SkyWest over Envoy.
