With QX you will never have to worry about any bases off the West Coast. But you wont fly a ton. All the flyimg a ton FO’s are all at the East Coast regionals. Whats your end game?? A major? If so. Maybe go to a fly tons, quick upgrade Regional..

You guys are leaving out 1 key detail, Skywest ERJ new hires are now going to get a tour of duty in LGA. It's definitely not all sunshine and rainbows over here. How did you guys not get a minimum day on the jet?

Our pilot group decided a one time 15k bonus was better.

It pains me to say this, but while we have a hard working EXCO trying the best they can to get Horizon pilots great results when it comes to negotiating with the company, there are simply too many uninvolved and self-centered pilots here at Horizon that were not supporting their EXCO. As one example, just prior to the vote that gave the Q400 a 4.2 daily min guarantee, the EXCO wanted all pilots to not pick up 200% pay that was declared to be outside of our CBA. This was in the midst of the pilot shortage that cost our last CEO and his underling their jobs. You might be shocked to have heard some of the reasons given by both junior and senior pilots here as to why the EXCO had no right to suggest they shouldn't do premium pay trips and make that extra 50% pay. It was a pathetic show of support towards our EXCO, and they felt this pilot group had not reached a point to where they were serious about improving our working conditions. They felt the last offer the company had presented was the best we could get at that time.

This is all true as well. Many of us we're met with hostility when we encouraged people to abide by the contract. "I've got bills/boats/ex-wives to pay for" and "You don't know what my situation is so how dare you" seemed to be a common response.

The same people then criticize the EXCO for not being hard enough on management. It's sad.

And, with no daily rig in place and OO getting all the long thin routes that QX was supposed to have, as the Q’s get parked at a 1:1 ratio to jet deliveries, it looks like it’s just gonna keep getting worse for those of us junior FO’s who “lucked out” into the jet.

We are not the only regional where insufficient hours are an issue. We had a Skywest pilot at a recent Qx interview say one of the reasons he was leaving Skywest was that he couldn't get any E175 trips. Yes, we're in the same position, but at least he's gonna get home-based rather than sitting reserve in Detroit.

And last I heard from a Qx manager, we are not retiring any more Q400's until we've received all of our original order of 30ish E175s. When we start picking up our options after that, we'll retire Q400's on a 1:1 ratio.

That is a significant bit of information. You would think that if it is true, they would make it official and publicly announce it to all.

According to the latest fleet plan they said we would be -2 airframes at the end of 2018. So unless they make some official announcement I don't believe it.

Btoflyer..You are either very misinformed or you are a part of the Horizon recruiting team. I suspect the latter. You previously stated you had a jumpseater in Pathways that received a class date. A company wide email sent out yesterday stated no pathways participitants have received a class date. Now you are passing mis information about no Qs to retire until fleet of jets is on property. Total nonsense.
