Btoflyer.....I’m beginning to think you are either ridiculously mis informed or a mole from Horizon recruitment. Everything you say is false.

Busted. I've been at this company for six whole months, barely off OE, and yet somehow I've become so cozy with management that I've been given the absolutely imperative job of spreading shiny lies and B.S. on this forum. You are so right, whoever you are hiding behind that anonymous tag.

Seriously, wake the f--- up. This forum is for talking about issues that matter to Horizon pilots, and would be Horizon pilots. I have the right to pass on comments, in this case from a senior Horizon CA, without my words being treated as raw sewage. I don't lurk outside board rooms, and I don't solicit comments from anyone. I'm just a pilot who asks questions. If you disagree with anything I, or anyone else for that matter, happens to write, then by all means question it. But I have no respect for anyone who uses this forum to attack a co-worker.

This is not my first flying job. I know how important it is to be a team player in a crew environment. Your comments, sir or ma'am, suggest that you are not.

I wouldn't mind a little clarity on the fleet plan myself. I keep hearing that the Q400's are "going away", but they don't seem to be going away very fast.

I was curious as to how many flights the jet operates as opposed to the Q400, so I took a quick look at our flight schedule today and fired up my calculator. The answer? Roughly 15%. We're still mostly a "proudly all turboprop" airline.

The jet seems to be massively overstaffed right now, which indicates that the company MAY be about to get serious about more jet deliveries. Otherwise, it looks like a long, hot summer for us in the Q400. The FO side seems to be almost OK (not much open flying), but we are borderline short on captains. From what I've heard, we're running out of people that meet the time minimums to upgrade.

Btoflyer.. Im still on the fence about you. However, I am willing to lean more towards you being miss informed than a Horizon recruiter.

You have to add the non cash benefits and calculate their cash value.
-Toilet paper ($.50 x 2 x 17 x 12) = $204
Etc
You could go without ever buying toiletries or pens again!

If you steal enough biscoff packets and hotel toilet paper, you can bring the value of first year pay much higher than what Horizon claims.

Shh they will take the biscoffs away!

We used to have a guy that would steal the hotel light bulbs but he was caught. LOL.
