An unreassuring comment if ever there was one....

The company is not picking up a few extra E175s. They are walking back their committment made under our previous CEO to get three additional E175s for a total of 33. AAG is reducing their orders for 737s and Airbuses while QX is getting shorted 3 E-jets. Are 00's future E-jet orders for AAG being reduced? It seems that at AAG, everyone but SkyWest will feel the pain of growth retraction.

What is y’alls captain rate for the E190-E2. Sounds like Alaska is headed that direction. Not sure that Skywest can operate them but I know that Horizon can...

E190-E2? They don't need that for 90 seats. The E175-E2 would be adequate for that:

Or if they want to go whole hog and service Hawaii, the E195-E2 would do it, if you restricted it to 110 pax or so.

I'm not sure there's any Embraer that can handle Hawaii. At least not from Seattle. You have to remember to account for flag fuel. (15% additional fuel reserve required to fly over water.) Plus they'd need to get an ETOPS certification. Plus their advertised range is always based on zero wind and as we all know, westbound you're gonna have a headwind. Sometimes a pretty significant one. I think Hawaii probably couldn't be done unless Embraer wanted to give it a wet tail or a belly tank.

Even from SFO you'd really be pushing it. Probably wind up in Hilo a lot. I wouldn't do it. Let alone SEA, PDX or SAN

Not that I wouldn't love to fly it down there.

There is no issue selling 150+ seats on any Hawaii flight. Putting a E175-E2 on that rout would be a non rev killer...

We can't even get the USB ports installed correctly on our jets, there's no way we could ever get an etops cert.

The latest E175 we took delivery of had the USB ports on the flight deck installed the wrong way (upside down, I think), so they're MEL'ed until someone can turn them around.
