It was in the wrong spot. If the cord was plugged in, it interferred with the tiller.

Well come on, ya gotta have your priorities. What's the sense of having a tiller if you don't have Foreflight to show you the way to the right gate.

Have you ever gone to the wrong gate? Even just once?

Cripes, the paperwork ya gotta fill out... Almost as bad as landing in Troutdale when you were shooting for PDX.

Default Rotor program

From the CP today:

"Rotor Program--We are just days away from launching our rotor transition program. This program will allow us to transition some very qualified pilots from rotor to fixed wing in a matter of five to six months. If you know of pilots interested in this program, please have them keep an eye on our recruitment page because we expect the program to go live in the next week or so."

What's the deal with FLICA publishing this month's bid so late? The window was changed to the 1st of each month and close on the 7th, but now it's not awarded until the 22nd? Previously, the window would close on the 25th and the award would publish before the 30th.

Not sure about that, but rumor has it that jet upgrade is now going to people still in initial training that have upgrade requirements. Looks like we'll be upgrading new hires into the jet before they get their consolidation as an FO.

Yep. A couple of them flew single pilot 135 like amflight. Zero time in the aircraft, zero airline or multi crew experience, now e175 captains. This trend will continue as long as these idiots keep SEA as the only jet base.

These street hires still need to meet 14 CFR 121.436 which includes crew experience whether it's 1000 SIC in 121, part 91K/135 TPIC, and/or military time. The FAA and the company are not letting anyone take command of a 121 air carrier flight without at least 1000 hours of any crew experience. 0 time in an aircraft is nothing new or surprising. An airplane is an airplane.

That's exactly what they're doing. An amflight pilot flying a beech 99 is logging TPIC in a non crew environment and now a jet captain with zero airline experience. Correct me if I'm wrong but the only amflight a/c that has an FO is the emb120 and there's not many of them.

This isn't a knock on amflight guys, I know they are more than capable pilots. This is more of a comment against the company for literally taking anyone who can legally be a captain and putting them in the left seat with a willful disregard for all other conditions or risks.

Amflight has FO’s from overseas sit in the right seat of the 99. So it is somewhat a crew environment, more less a CFI gig in a turbine really

Interesting, is the Navajo the only single pilot a/c then? Which isn't turbine.
