But we’re getting lanyards (paid for by our dues). What does OO get?

I think QX is the clear winner here.

I just got hired here and would like to know a realistic amount of credit hours you guys are getting. Also, how does the per diem pay work? Thank you

On what airplane? What base? Do you want to pick up extra flying?

175 and Seattle. I'd definitely want to pick up extra flying.

Default Pilot Development Program

I’ll be coming over from a Part 135 with about 1,000 hours in the ERJ-145 SIC time. I’m in the pilot development program, which basically states that I get no choice in regards to base or equipment. (Q400 and MFR was the expectation). Is it possible to negotiate with them to get the 175 given my experience in an Embraer airframe? Here’s to hoping!

You can always ask. In the past, the company's been pretty good about trying to honor base and airframe requests. At the present time, Horizon needs E175 pilots for the Anchorage base and Q400 pilots for Portland, Medford, Spokane, and Boise bases (Seattle is senior for Q400 FO's). Even if you don't get the jet, you may be able to request Portland or Boise if that's what you want.

Whelp. Joe just sent an email out this AM-the Q is finally in transition to the boneyard (no timeline provided). Going to a one aircraft fleet (E175). Guess we aren't getting those new EFBs
Methinks my upgrade bid to the jet in June is also now in jeopardy. Of course.

Yeah… about that whole “needing Q400 pilots” thing.
