What's happening at Horizon and Jets?

The top 1/3rd of pilots at Horizon have been there for decades. Those guys will get the left seat in those jets. As an FO I'd have been too far down in seniority to get the jets. If I had upgraded at Horizon it would have been back into the Q. If you go to Compass or Skywest you can be West Coast based and guarantee that you'll fly a jet, even after upgrade. Given that logic I don't see how Horizon expects to attract new pilots unless they hire into the jet. It actually makes sense as it would reduce training costs. Of course if it happens that way I have some FO friends back at Horizon that will be very unhappy.

An opinion is like an A-hole everybody has one. Can you understand that?……Seriously……Can you disagree with people here or is it comply and agree or be flamed?
Please Articulate how this is a Concessionary contract?
anyone?
PBS Is not, we shrink and SAP(Schedule Adjustment Period) quality erodes with smaller roster. i.e. see MFR base SAP.
Pay Is not. We take no hit in pay period and we are still in top two of the regional industry(For 76 seat Jets) We don't have to like it, I don't but we don't have Horizon paint on our planes just little letters we have been debranded. Unless your assuming a pay rate for the jet when we had no jet on property…zero…none. we could have a space shuttle pay rate who cares it means absolutely nothing until equipment is on property.
I too think we are not paid fair but the REALITY is that another person, often the one shouting from the roof tops that we should have stood up for the industry is the very person flying for XYZ ready to fly your routes in your airplane.
What AAG will do or won't do is all conspiracy Theory. My experience is if they do say things public they follow through if you disagree please give me and example? Articulate enough?

Perhaps each paragraph should contain more than one run-on sentence.

Or agree to be paid "historical credit" per leg that the company makes up instead of marketing block pay the rest of the industry recognizes? Or have a PBS system that doesn't abide by seniority and globalizes for company need? Or have a pilot association that is paid for by the company to work for the company?
Because ya, that would be real stupid!

You're not the cause of our problems, but you have not helped either. Brad and his cronies offered to outsource more of Horizon's flying if we didn't match skywests costs. Try raising the bar.

This was smokescreen. It is my understanding that Skywest was offering a deal too good to refuse (a cost they can absorb because they have such a diverse array of contracts). Why wouldn't Skywest management want to start off on the right foot with AAG? The first hit is always free...
AAG is presumably smart enough to know this (presumably..), hence why they have been rallying so hard for Horizon to "compete" - they don't want to have Skywest be their only CPA carrier. This is game theory, folks! They offer to outsource us, we offer to destroy their reputation - that's how hardball works. Well, this pilot group wasn't up for hardball, so here we are. We have ourselves (well, 69% of us anyway) squarely to blame, not Skywest.

flame? I really wish I was as smart as some of you self-righteous folks. You should use your self-proclaimed intellect to make $$$ for yourself instead of being a slam-clicker and flaming others LMAO. My understanding is pretty right on, I just don't live my life with an entitlement mentality……..flame on pretty boys.
