It's been considered.

Rumors abound but YOU can not get hired by a legacy if you don’t have PIC.
I want to stay in the PNW and fly and I would fly for QX if the pay was even comparable to other regionals but I will NEVER fly for them with pay below minimum wage and less than a burger flipper makes.
I will add this and I’ve said it before, it is the Senior Captains fault QX is in the dumps. They wanted and voted in lousy contracts to better themselves and sacrificed the new FOs pay and QOL.

Times are changing and pilots now have the opportunity to make being a pilot respectable again.
The majority of my friends who have been hired at a certain legacy have zero TPIC.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news here Sport, but nobody who has been there long enough to be considered senior is even within spitting distance of where they were when I was there 15 years ago, much less better off.

Alaska said "frog" and a significant majority jumped; it's really not any more complicated than that. It was probably the junior people who weren't going to have to live with a bad contract long-term who were most willing to grab their ankles for the Eskimo.

We have plenty of CRJ 200's that can be redeployed.

Sorry to bother on Christmas Eve; is anyone able to share the loads on flight 744 tonight, SFO to SLC departing at 8:50pm? Merry Christmas.

No reason to be cryptic which legacy is it? And I'm still not buying the zero PIC crap. EVERY online app, "airlineapps" and "pilot credentials" ask for PIC and the computer won't let you be seen by the HR department if you don't have their minimum PIC time.
I find it ironic that Alaska wants diversity but I'm discriminated against because I'm a helo guy. Go to the "national gay pilots symposium", the "Women in aviation" symposium, the "OBAP" symposium and you're a better pilot but if you fly helos in a war your a lesser pilot.

Whether it's senior pilots or others it's a weak pilot group that votes in a bad contract. And cold calls during Christmas proves it. I've been there and that pilot group is continuing to shrink.
