Things are getting really ugly here:
We are now shrinking (just announced parking 2 Q400s)
Upgrade classes are getting canceled again because of it. Upgrade time increasing rapidly now estimated 3-4 years
Vice President of operation is violating the contract on a daily basis now (not even hiding it) and telling the Union too bad, just grieve it.
Many Pilots are getting forced into working into their days off, and quality of life here is plummeting daily. (cancelling 1 in 10 flights because of lack of crew)
If you are on reserve, plan on working 6 days in a row with 2 days off and then another 6 days in a row, repeat forever.
New Hires that accept the bonus, are being viewed as undermining the pilot group. Some very militant Captains are talking about starting a list of names.
Expect a hostile work environment lawsuit to be filed by one of these newhires. Old Captains are really ****ed off here by the treatment of Alaska Airlines.
This place becomming extrememly toxic.
Horizon has worst quality of life of any regional (7 leg days and zero breaks on a 12 hour day is bull****).
I extrememly regret comming here, but I was stupid, listened and believed the Horizon recruiting lies. DO YOUR RESEARCH!! DO NOT BELIEVE THEM !!
Thank god I have a class date at Spirit.
I highly recommend anyone else that is contemplating comming here to run not walk away and take the Skywest job instead.
Airgroup appears to like them better.
Skywest just announce even more flying for them as part of the Virgin Merger, meanwhile we are skrinking and parking airplanes.
Skywest stays at better hotels, pays more, equivalent bonuses, more days off, just about better everything.
There is not a single reason to come here at all.

Lots of new people with regrets trying to punch out of here as things are very toxic. Do your research, everyone under 10 is trying to bail quick especially the people under 5 years. If you're coming for quality of life, that ship has sailed and sinking, current management is putting more holes in the boat daily. The working relationship we had is getting toasted.
