They won't have a problem staffing the jets. They will just park the Q400s but once they start doing that the exodus will be in full effect. It's really sad what this place has turned into.

You all seem to be describing the beginnings of the implosion I was referring to. I don't think your management comprehends the magnitude of the demographic ice burg that you have already struck.

Ten grand pre-employment? Paying for people to go fly around to build time?

Just a flesh wound.

Many Pilots are getting forced into working into their days off, and quality of life here is plummeting daily. (cancelling 1 in 10 flights because of lack of crew)
If you are on reserve, plan on working 6 days in a row with 2 days off and then another 6 days in a row, repeat forever.
New Hires that accept the bonus, are being viewed as undermining the pilot group. Some very militant Captains are talking about starting a list of names.
Expect a hostile work environment lawsuit to be filed by one of these newhires. Old Captains are really ****ed off here by the treatment of Alaska Airlines.
This place becomming extrememly toxic.
Horizon has worst quality of life of any regional (7 leg days and zero breaks on a 12 hour day is bull****).
I extrememly regret comming here, but I was stupid, listened and believed the Horizon recruiting lies. DO YOUR RESEARCH!! DO NOT BELIEVE THEM !!
Thank god I have a class date at Spirit.
I highly recommend anyone else that is contemplating comming here to run not walk away and take the Skywest job instead.
Airgroup appears to like them better.
Skywest just announce even more flying for them as part of the Virgin Merger, meanwhile we are skrinking and parking airplanes.
Skywest stays at better hotels, pays more, equivalent bonuses, more days off, just about better everything.
There is not a single reason to come here at all.

"Militant Captains" haha awesome.

Yep, as soon as we get leverage management (basically our sociopath VP of Flight Ops) decides F their contract we will do whatever we want. It's really kicking the meltdown into overdrive. When the 10k bonus utterly fails I foresee them parking more planes.

So i hope I word this so that it makes sense and dont **** anyone off bc thats not my intent.... but for those of you that are saying don't come to QX...would you rather see the company flounder and go tits up potentially losing your job and having to go elsewhere bc no new hires are coming in due to you saying don't come... or is being ****** on everyday by the company with the threat of more and more garbage treatment from the throne worth it until the day that your union steps in and is able to get what is deserved to you guys? I hope that makes sense...

The time for that was year ago when the pilots voted yes to the first TA on the new contract, partly because the union told everyone that the company would go out of business if they didn't keep paying less than Skywest.

Remember that there are only a handful of QX pilots on here. The majority of them are so out of touch that they think this is normal and as soon as the jets show up all their problems will be over.
