Seattle E175 questions
I would have no idea. Why don’t you ask them? Better than taking career advice from a stranger on the internet.
Just love the above quote. Just wondering if any of you strangers can give me some advice anyway. I got an interview in late January- they told me that training was already full into May for the Erj. I’d rather hear some tribal knowledge than email the recruiters over Christmas with what ifs before I even get a job offer.
Firstly Paine Field- I saw Carlos’s write up about how there are now 18 Erj flights out of there. Any guesstimates as to how popular it will be for folks? Is this considered a separate base or just an extension of the SeaTac bid? The essence of my question is this- as a newb FO out of training how long will it take me to have any chance in hell to get based out of there?
Secondly- so I have a patient wife with a good job in Everett; hence my interest in PAE. We are looking to sign a year lease in the next few weeks and it’s hard to push to live south of Bothell for a job I don’t even have yet. Yes I realize I’m totally gonna get f*ed on the commute. Anybody out there actually doing something like this? The question is how long do you guys allow bet pulling into SeaTac and arriving at the gate on a 2 hour call out? Should 30 min do the trick?
Thanks for any help..

I’m also trying to figure out if there is any pattern to when folks get called in on a day of reserve. I had a previous job where if they didn’t call you at 5 am it was very unlikely you would get called. I’m guessing at horizon you could get a call when you are on the 2 hr call out at pretty much any time. Is that true?

If I remember right there were 12 Q400 and 10 E175 vacancies advertised. Is it common for CA slots to not get filled?

I'd say the computer that you have to check in at is about 35 minutes from parking your car at the employee lot.
