Default Vote Under duress

This wasn't a choice thats the reality. Life will be very disappointing and so will your career if you choose to think everything is going to go according to your idealistic views. Idealistic I would have loved nothing more than saying HELL NO! Realistically this was yes vote under duress. Why.
I guarantee Skywest would be flying those jets immediately.
SAP-Would be useless with reduced pilot roster.
We are at top of pay scales for ERJ even at Q4 rates=Reality
Are Jets coming? absolutely but who is going to fly them=Answered now
How is this concessionary? Ill debate you because Ive set down my IDEALISTIC glasses reluctantly and look at this REALISTCALLY. Im ****ed has the next person but we have to be logical but I guess like a smarter man than me said Im business stupid.

I will just add this little nugget from the company's official announcement:

More information to come shortly on the timeline, including when we will know if jet flying has been awarded to our airline.

IF??? What more is there to be settled? Probably reading too much into it but did cause me to read that statement twice.
Horizon still must submit thier bid to the AAG board to get the new jet CPA. Our impotent "union" never made this clear, but if you look back at everything DC and BL have said over the last 6 months, this was clear... The labor contracts are just one piece of the puzzle in our "commitment to compete"

If we don't have a training department initialized by March I'd say it's a safe bet we aren't getting the flying anyway...and the company of course won't say anything because they know what will happen.

What language are you speaking? The industry was slightly different when Comair went away, but if it makes you feel better, so be it.

So we've established not a businessman nor a skilled wordsmith...

I think the reason it wasn't clear is more to do with your impotent reading comprehension skills. Try reading the fleet LOA again... If you haven't figured it out by the fourth paragraph no one can help you.

Default Industry

No it isn't the same but the same today can not be what it was yesterday. Its an involving target one world event can lead to economic chaos thats not favorable to what your looking at this moment. We vote no and sap sucks because of reduced roster, we don't lose pay, sure, we had great rate they could have said it was $200 who cares we didn't have a jet when they agreed to it. As far as those that are in the know that if we voted No the jets where still coming with pay rates 10% higher than the next guy please share your wisdom to me in the stock market as well so I can retire from all this crap. Point is we know what we get with yes vote PBS same thing you get when furloughed and go else where with reduced fleet. Except we get to choose it. Payrates at top of industry not at bottom. Or hold our ground say No and feel good for about a year until furloughed, downgraded, Then go else where that has what ? yup SAP oops no PBS. But damn I feel good,,,,,,,,,,Of course I don't like it its reality TODAY, Pilot shortage has been around the corner for 30 years. Im not in biz guessing world calamity, house prices, stock market or even The Industry Ill leave that to logical people that think with their heads and not their emotions

Are you referring to 1. B. of the first page of the LOA? It says the LOA and amended CBA are contingent on authorization from the BOD to place an order and on reaching acceptable terms with an aircraft manufacturer/lessor for delivery.

Despite popular opinion, this amended CBA has not guaranteed that we will be flying jets. A very big and uncertain part of this is how AAG will get their hands on 30-60 E175's.

In reading that section, I do not think there is an adequate escape clause for us to return to the negotiating table if they choose not to order airplanes to be flown by Horizon. If that is the case, this pilot group may very well have just sold six years of bargaining rights for nothing - just an unenforceable CBA through 2024.

How do you think our bargaining power might have been in 2018? They were just given a six year extension on our existing contract two years early.
