JB won't even pay the tax to fly to Canada. I'd be shocked if they would pay the high tax rate for Heathrow.

My guess is-
Trading our 321LR options for a great rate on some old 330's that Airbus is now stuck with, pre CBA... carrot dangle.

The slots are for Norwegian, we'll codeshare. Win win.

Well it would pay $13 more an hour since it's after 1am JFK time. :D

Looks like the earliest arrival slot SAS currently holds is an 8:50am, which is a bit later than desired for US carriers. Middle East routes would fit better with SAS slot availabilities. I'm betting one of the ME3 is the undisclosed buyer.

JB will go to London at some point, but probably not LHR.

Also, this slot purchase would qualify as 'material change' in the eyes of the SEC which requires immediate notification. So, again, rules out any US airline for these slots.

I don't need to go across the pond, I spent enough time on L455:p

I still don't think this is us, but the 3yr timeline would be about right.

I could also see us leasing/buying slots from TAP since we're buddy-buddy with Neeleman now and they have a handful of LHR slots. And/or if you want to get really wild, we could find some LCY slots for trans-Atlantic with those CSeries we're gonna get :p;)

Aaaah, one can dream about the CSeries in JB colors... ;).

I can see JB using Stansted or Luton instead of Heathrow or even Gatwick with its one runway. Stansted would work great IMO.

A 321LR or even a CS300 could work on thinner routes to Ireland from BOS. If JB doesn't act, Norwegian certainly will fill the void.... I personally feel the MINT service would work very well across the Pond.

Did anyone else notice the last IPAD update now has NAV Tracks and includes all Western European FIR boundaries and Airports.

Been there for a long time. They do take deliveries from Europe.

The real question is: how long will the van ride be to the suburban London Hyatt Place or Crowne Plaza?
