This. Goes to first year reserve guarantee (75 hours) as of date of your LOE sim.

The $26/day food allowance, while often maligned, is enough to get 3 full meals daily at the Lodge plus have enough left for a handful of snacks from the grab-and-go or a plate of wings at the bar most days. It's use it or lose it, so make sure to spend down the rest every evening.

The food has become so bad, you likely won't even use the full $26/day. There is no reason they shouldn't offer full $48/day per diem so you can order delivery or whatever else is less inedible than their offerings.

Take home pay will end up being about $700 each pay check (8th & 20th) in training.

The food isn't that bad, but it gets old eating the same thing day after day. There should be the option to get food elsewhere, and $26/day isn't gonna cut it. Improvement and change is needed.

I didn't think it was bad during initial. But when I came back for recurrent at the beginning of the year it was obvious they have cut costs and flavor and quality were collateral damage. It's pretty bad. I feel badly for anyone who has to eat there for six weeks. It's not like you can afford outside food when you're taking home $350 a week.

It does not go to guarantee until you are done in OSC. They get you at training rates until the day after you finish international training.

While I will not defend the lodge in any other way I will say the food is actually pretty good. There was a period of time they let it slip a little bit but it’s back to what it was and the chef’s special every night is great.

I was at the staybridge for upgrade along with everyone else transitioning. I was also at a hotel for recurrent go figure.

No I had the long course. Month at a hotel. The short course upgrades can stay at the lodge per the grievance settlement. Doesn’t mean you will though.
