JetBlue Airways Is Finally Fixing Its Cost...
JetBlue Airways Is Finally Fixing Its Cost Structure | Fox Business
"It's true that pilot wages have been rising rapidly across the airline industry. However, JetBlue already implemented a 20% increase to pilot pay over three years, beginning in 2014, followed by an 8% increase last year. Even with these increases, JetBlue needs to raise its pilot wages further to match competitors, but only by around 15%-20%."
....
"The future savings from JetBlue's cost initiatives should offset most if not all of the likely pilot pay increase. Solid cost control should help JetBlue post strong earnings growth during the next few years"
Too bad they see pilots as the enemy. If they treated us as the professionals we are, even at market rate+ contract with industry+ work rule contract, we could still help rebuild this company to be great again.I hope this kind of report is admissible during mediation.

I love that the Motley Fool says this could cost $100mil. Well, how about Bloomberg stating we lost $350+mil in 2017 in delays??? Talk about some cost savings potential!
Absolutely this paints the pilots as a negative fixture of cost. The reality is our productivity is directly related to self worth and contentment. Productivity equals costs savings.
