Insurance rewards program question

Just curious if everyone here is able to 'earn' their full HSA seed money via that rally app thing. I know I'm leaving a lot of money on the table, but after checking the Rally app out, I definitely don't feel like putting in so much personal information just to get money that should already be in my account. According to our own site, we should be able to 'earn' up to $800 additional dollars.

Is there another way to get those HSA funds?

I got the full 400$ last and this year.

You have to put in personal info so that it knows whose account to deposit the funds into. Unless you’re talking about the health survey thing that gives you your “Rally” age; I think you can skip that. When you say “seed money” that’s $800 you should’ve received Jan. 1. For the other $800 you just confirm participation in the activities in Rally.

"Seed money" is different than "healthy rewards".

Seed money you do nothing.

Both are scams, though!

True statement. During the second union vote Barger promised no changes to healthcare then once the vote failed over night the healthcare was gutted to a tune of $80 mill. The seed money and healthy rewards was somehow designed to make the employee groups feel better.

Damn i'm confused now.

My understanding with the plan is that $800 is contributed by the company, and up to $800 by doing those reward things on that app, for up to $1600/yr

That's where I'm getting the information. I ask because I've maybe gotten $100 out of that rally app, which is why I'm really annoyed if I'm leaving that much money on the table. I remember during indoc they were telling us that we get up to $1600/yr for HSA.

You don't have to go through the app, but you should monitor or make claims via the werally site. Also check Optum to make sure the reward money is paid into your FSA or HSA.

I got the 400$, individual, from the werally webpage and app maybe 3-4 weeks after my new cycle started. You’ll be able to get that other 700$ pretty easily.

Your understanding is correct, at least for a family plan. Individual (no family) might be half that much.

Of course it's stupid, insipid, idiotic, and childish to have to jump through hoops to get the additional $800 but you knew that already. What you might not know is that claims can still be denied for what might seem to be arbitrary reasons, and you have to fight for reimbursement. If you ignore requests for supporting documentation your access to funds will be completely cut off and your benefits suspended, meaning you can't use your HSA for anything whatsoever until you placate the mindless bureaucrat denying your claim. That's your Caring value right there.

Sorry for the rant but it's justified. Dealing with our insurance has made my wife literally break down in tears on multiple occasions.

You have to answer the intrusive and personal questions. No answer, no money.
