Mid-America Base

Any talk of opening a pilot base somewhere other than the far ends of the US?

One can dream.

I don’t see a middle base anytime soon unless we bought Frontier or someone buys us. There is no way around this under the current board and ELT. They are an east coast airline that flys NYrs (now Bos) people to places they want to go. I actually think they are pretty honest about this, and they are fine with the route network we have. We may not like it but it makes money and that’s all there is to it. I think you will see more Midwest places connected to Bos and FLL but imho the next growth phase is across the pond given our east coast bases. Heck they just said the 220 is great because it can do trans cons given our base locations. I expect them to use those like the bus since now the 190 fleet goes to bed that won’t be the case with the 220.

DCA a triple city base meets requirements of 40 miles. My bid is in!

Despite the current disagreements we may have, everyone agrees with this: there will be no mid America base unless we are purchased by United.
