It only takes 5-10% to help the company out.... and last few big IROPs they have had the chiefs going out with extra emails to help the operation out... that tells me it is getting harder and harder for the company to get the help they need... New BOS LECs e-mail yesterday said it best.... “doing so, we believe we should all know our contract and then professionally and safely fly that contract—nothing more, nothing less.” Pretty soon the helpers won’t be able to help as they will time out... we had RSAs most days in February.... February.... I can’t wait for the summer, hang on boys and girls it’s going to be a wild ride!

no fooling. Especially with 31R closing and the north runway at FLL closing. Going to be a wild ride.

Wrong, Uncle Paul CC'd Bluepilots in his response to Wayne. Another instance of mismanagement not knowing their employees. He failed miserably. Well except for you and hyper who are just happy to have a job.

Disclaimer: I am pro-union and pro-pilot (but was anti TA 1.0)
Most of the major negative things that are occurring now are due to things I warned of with TA 1.0 (weak language, lack of staffing language). We knew they were going to change the pairing construction yet a large majority voted in favor of a TA with weak pairing language. Granted, the company played too much hardball in negotiations but we ultimately had the final say. I'm all for rallying the troops and using sentiment to your advantage to put pressure on the company but some of the guys picking up RSA are just trying to make the best of a contract that fell short of their expectations and they voted against.
Also, as a side note, why wasn't there more of a push to get rid of RSA's with the contract if it's a negative thing when guys do them? We know that there's always going to be someone doing them. There was even guys high up in ALPA doing RSA's during negotiations so.....

Still a waste. Should never have remained in the contract. We'll have global open time. Then premium global open time (150%). Then VDA (200%).
There's VDA for the senior guys and premium open time to give the junior guys a chance to pick up above base rate. WTF would anyone do RSAs once the entire contract is implemented. It should have been eliminated with this contract. I guess we asked and they said no. Again.
