JetBlue Cadetship
Hi everyone,
Are any of these airline specific cadetship programs worth it or holding up their end of the deal ie 'Pay for your training and pass all your exams and you WILL get hired as a JetBlue pilot'? Some people are like hey just do a program like ATP crunch it in as quick as you can, rack up your hours as a CFI as quick as you can then fly a regional and then apply as a direct pilot.... But honestly I would prefer set out from day 1 with a specific airline so I know where I am going if at all possible, compared to bouncing around all over the place...... Are these programs what they say? |
I’d say do any school that doesn’t necessarily have to be ATP or such more expensive flight school. If you put in the work all the schools will be the same and a regular school will be a fraction of the price. If you want a certain airline after that target it build your time and continue forward. All the cadet programs are super expensive just to end up in the same place anyways. Of course IMO

If you’re motivated, you don’t need anyone to hold your hand. Right now, if you’re not lazy and get all your ratings done, get your time and go to a regional you are guaranteed a job if you don’t have anything in your background and you’re not a nozzle.

Stay away from L3 in Sanford, FL. Scam and ripoff.

If anyone is in the No.East. area, I know of a great 141 flight school, mom and pop type atmosphere ( laid back and fun) but with a lot of a/c and instructors..
Has put a ton of students and instructors into the airline world. Very reasonable pricing. Not one of those rip off FL schools. Just a local airport flight school but larger and more active than most. They do everything from PPL-CFII (and maybe MEI?) plus seaplane... Also, will no doubt hire as CFI/II when finished. Cheap city for living also. (only caveat is winter slowdown) |

Should we start guessing the name of the flight school? Or maybe which airport?
I don't want to publicly advertise for them.. If someone thinking about which program or school to attend is interested, they can PM me. |
Why do any of these programs. Go to local school, go teach somewhere , fly banners, get to a regional and save a lot of cash in the process. You are also not locked in to any one airline. You can go fly Corp too if you wanted.
