LGB Based Pilots

Thx everyone for the insight. Probably heading East, but for the kids sake I would take LGB and in a few years time head East. Get them going in their direction in life. (commuting is not an option, wife and I made a pact at the beginning of this career and held to it) Im extremely excited to work for JB, and look forward to the next step in our life.

That's how our JFK base was. The reality is there was no upgrading into that base unless someone bid out or retired and that was nil. We had plenty of guys doing the transcon commute to upgrade on the west coast. Of course now the base is gone so everybody is forced to commute or move.

You're doing the right thing by moving for your own sake and family sanity. I moved JFK to LAX because a transcon commute to reserve gets old real quick. That said, I know a B6 guy who's been commuting 4 yrs now from LA to JFK 320 CA.

Hopefully our white and blue airlines can merge one day and we won't have these problems

We are just the mirror image of ALK.
System and base wise.
It’s really too bad the VA deal didn’t work out.

Not for much longer, heard JB is finally gonna plant a West Coast potato farm! Or invest in a start-up app that specializes in potato farming. Can't remember the specifics, but it's exciting and Delta's in TROUBLE!

What we really need is an app to tell as what the wx is at gate 6 when we are at gate 11.
