JetBlue Flight Benefits

Would someone be able to shed some light on JetBlue's flight benefits and zed fare agreements?

Too long to list. We have an agreement with just about any airline you can think of. On line flight benefits consistent with industry. 16 buddy pass segments a year (8 round trips). 4 super passes a year that increase your priority level. You, a significant other, your children until 26?, and your parents all travel standby unlimited for free. 20% discount available to those people as well for actual tickets.

Will they assign a seat in Mint? I’ve heard there’s a fee for said seats. I’m guessing pilot priority is by hire date, are parents the next level below pilot/spouse?

The mint fee is gone.
Priority is who checks in first wins.
Jumpseats are by seniority up to 15prior.
Parents and spouse below everyone else unless they’re traveling with you then you all post the same.

Only if you book it online. It's free now.

Does your travel companion have to be your spouse? Do you have to be legally married? Or can I register my girlfriend or sister?

Thanks

Girlfriend or sister are acceptable. No supporting documentation required aside from filling out their info on the site. Easy day...

Is it difficult/expensive to get to Europe on a zed? Say Germany, Prague, etc.

difficult? just need an open seat. expensive? well jfk-fra on lufthansa shows $75.31. on Delta it shows $94.78.

Delta is always more expensive because they value themselves higher than other airlines, apparently, and charge zm instead of zl. or maybe even zh. those prices are for JetBlue employee. I didn't check parent or spouse or whatever.

every agreement is different. my mom and I can fly zed fare on all Nippon, but not my girlfriend (travel benefit domestic partner). and the opposite is true for some other airline that I forget. some charge zl (zed low) for parents, some zh (zed high) and then zm (zed medium) for spouses or kids or something.

it is all over the place. we do not have zed agreements with every airline. that's for sure. many Asian carriers, for example. there are a lot on the list, but there are quite a few missing. maybe it is the same at other airlines, I don't know.
