The one thing that I really don’t like about the VDA process, are the constant phone calls in the middle of the night...so hopefully the premium open-time will mean more pilots that are rested. Flew a day trip last week with an early show with someone on VDA. They called him three times throughout the night, starting at midnight before he finally answered.

They do have a thing called DO NOT DISTURB... its a great iPhone feature. IDK about you but I enjoy getting called to go work for double. Who the hell wants to work for straight pay? I am so tired of hearing people ***** about getting called to go work for double pay.
So many complaints, yet SO MUCH money to be made. Funny how the whining is only on APC. Zero in the cockpits I have been a part of.

Me, I’d rather find a trip tonight at 8pm operating tomorrow early, you know be able to plan my evening and day tomorrow for 150%. Why? Because I don’t like rolling the dice being a rube hoping they call me for some 2am STI turn.

Yes I will complain if you get zero sleep and are missing radio calls and a general hazard in the flight deck....I don’t care how much this VDA trip pays. Also I average a few VDAs per month, so you’re barking up the wrong tree pal.
