If (a huge if) the company ever gets a handle on staffing the operation, VDA will be harder to come by. That, and global open time may make it less likely too. It will be hard to get a VDA in Florida bases once people can pick up extra from home. Early 2020 will be another learning opportunity for everyone.

I’m a recent 320FO to 190 RSV CA. Let me just tell you the pay doesn’t even start to compare.

I have only had 1 single month since I upgraded where I didn’t receive EPS or EMA pay of some sort.

Are you reserve? Isn’t EPS going away for reserve next year... something to keep in mind.

Mid week eps is going away. Last day of a block of days is still EPS.

I would say about half and half on that so yes there will be some loss.

Not to mention the reduction in QOL that goes with that. Extend a pilot who just finished an easy turn and thinks they’re going home for the night to now go do a four day....no skin of scheduling’s back anymore. That was the only thing about reserve at Jetblue that I liked versus the Regional I came from. I knew when I was going home when the trip finished because scheduling doesn’t want to pay EPS left and right.....not anymore.

They can’t do that.

Extension past your last assigned leg as to be back to base via operating a leg or LIMO/DH. Same as it is now.

The difference is You will just no longer get EPS as a RSV if it is in the middle of a rsv block.

Were you a mid-high time 320 FO or a min sched guy? For comparison.

Middle level 320FO. 80-85 hours a month.

190 rsv now. 1 month in 7 where I haven’t made more than just base 75 and I’m not even trying.
