Bid reserve and virtually never break guarantee. Maybe 1-2 months a year. Plenty of months are between 60-70. Will see if any of that changes once section 25 is fully implemented. Our reserve system is designed to ensure you almost never break guarantee, but always come close. This month I’m at 65 hours and have one 3 day stint left for basically a max of 5 hours over guarantee. My bet is I finish this month at 75 hours. Next month I bid a line and it’s projected at 79 hours. If I pick up or swap nothing, I’m expecting no more than 82.

This is entirely fleet/seat dependent however. Hear my 190 brethren are killing it in Boston lately especially with Emr/eps/vda.

You’ll get a variety of answers. Really depends on whether you commute, your seniority, your expertise level with Flica and which airplane/seat you’re in.....and like anything, a little luck.

Each month I’m usually at 120 hours while maintaining about half the month off. I’m in a very active 190 base though.

Yeah very seat dependent. 190 CA’s even on reserve regularly break guarantee but on the FO side you won’t break guarantee. CA side is very understaffed

Can you explain how you get your credit that high?

Kind of hard to explain it to someone who doesn’t work here. It’s just your standard premium pay system like every airline has. The biggest key I’d say is not already being on a trip when the weather rolls in, plus one or even two clean-up days after. Involves a little luck like I said, I’ll leave it at that.

the key to big credit on RSV (JMO) is being off on the weekends and willing to work.

I've come in early for a 4 day VDA that I would have flown on my 3 days of rsv anyhow. made A LOT. but usually I'm a 75a month guy.

190CA MCO roughly 85% bids rsv

does the company have to award you that 4 day VDA or is it a product of understaffing on the 190 specifically?

Being off when the SHTF is the biggest issue. On RSV, first couple of years, you're going to mostly be working weekends already when the biggest premium pay days are.

RSV credits 75 a month, line is 70, but often scheduled around 80. So to get to 120, you only need about 3 days of premium pay. When on RSV, any premium picked up goes on top of the 75 guarantee, even if you're only crediting say 60 that month.

...and 3 days of VDA per month is achievable for a new hire?
