Default Finally Europe Is A Reality

Big Announcement! We got the jets!!

Well, we’ll just use an international treaty busting (edited to remove Non-Union and scab comment) almost out of business airline to get that partnership flying to Europe. Oh yeah, code share with Norwegian. We suck. What a $hitty deal. We’ve got industry leading scope though.

Didn’t we just have a no holds barred total transparency Town Hall presentation, by our President and COO, that outlined our organic growth to London?

What are we doing?

Almost all of Norwegian pilots are unionized. The only groups that are not is a small percentage of the LGW based pilots who are on an initial contract with Rishworth and the few remaining BKK based pilots. All CPH, FCO, CDG and BCN based pilots are unionized.

Of course let's not forget that JetBlue pilots were non-union for the first 15 years of operations.

Yup. Great company. Great deal! Maybe we’ll get stapled to their seniority list. You know, it’s the nice thing to do.

I love how you go after the Union aspect. Hold on, I’ll edit my post.

Did jetBlue attempt to violate international treaties? How’s the industry contract at Norwegian? How about industry wages? They mights as well be part of the SAG.

You're confusing Norwegian Air Shuttle and Norwegian Air International.

NAI was the scab wagon and isn't operating across the Atlantic anymore.

Now, I understand that rage is the thing these days and we're living in a post truth world, and further that it's reasonable to be frustrated by NAI, but emotion doesn't replace facts. Norwegian pilots in Europe are union pilots.

Norwegian did not attempt to violate international treaties. They used the EU/EEA laws and the EU-US Open Skies treaty in the same manner that had been used by Lufthansa, Thomas Cook, TUI, SAS, and many others before them.

I mentioned the union aspect because you originally mentioned that they were union busting.

The terms and conditions at Norwegian are quite similar to other European airlines. Better in some ways, worse in others, and it varies depending on base. For example LGW pilots have more guaranteed off days than the CPH pilots, but the CPH pilots have a significantly higher pension contribution. Different terms and conditions depending on base are common in Europe as well. SAS has different terms and conditions dependent on being based at CPH, ARN or OSL. BA has different terms and conditions dependent on being based at LHR, LGW or MAN. Pay at Norwegian starts out much higher than at places like SAS and TUI, but lags behind airlines like BA and KLM.

Likelihood they will be around by the time the partnership starts? Aren’t they bleeding money like a stuck pig.

Wow the Norwegian defenders. I’ll concede Norwegian pilots are union.

The only time we see and hear from R2 is about TATL.

Is this the plan for his exit.

When we don't go, he does?

Clean break since Jojo is the face of everything else.

Starting to feel this way!
