Interesting. Since the economy hasn't started tanking yet, this MAX problem might be a good excuse for mergers.
And like 97% of my merger related posts, this will still lead to a Ual/ JetBlue merger . Southwest just wants to start the process to get outbid, but get real estate and some 737s from the Ual side.
Done deal.

Merger
Imho the merger could prove a devastating blow for Boeing and especially the 737, kind of ironic since Boeing has catered the 737 for Southwest for so long. As the good ol saying goes....If it ain't Boeing, j'aime mieux Airbus....or something like that.
