Default Military Helicopter Pilots at JetBlue

JetBlue is one of the few majors that counts rotary-wing hours towards hiring minimums.

For the mil helicopter pilots out there that ended up at JetBlue, what were your "stats" when you got hired?

Thanks in advance.

Trend I’m seeing from RW guys is you still had to go get work elsewhere for some FW hours, correct?

im on the cusp of the 500 MEFW they are asking for but probably need some regional time to look more attractive.

I left active duty with roughly 2500 RW hours and basically ATP mins (primary flight school plus 100+ hours in a rented Seminole). After 18 months and 800-ish hours at a regional I was invited to Vets in Blue. Got the interview invite shortly after that. I’ve yet to meet a pure helo type at B6 that hasn’t done at least some time at a regional.

Yeah, the C-12/King Air types are a different animal... I should’ve defined pure helicopter guys as those of us who flew only helos post-primary/UPT. If you’ve got significant King Air time to include PIC you can probably get on anywhere. Same goes for those that instruct in the T-6 post fleet tour.
