Government Affairs 2 Educational briefings
I know we talk about lot about JetBlue. The Chairman of Government Affairs has sent out 2 educational pieces in the last 3 weeks. These are well written pieces that cover MAJOR issues concerning JetBlue ALPA pilots on a national and global scale.
If you have not read them I HIGHLY recommend. They give you history and bring the issues from a JetBlue pilot point of view. We should be all be well versed on what they are and how we should feel about them.
These are VERY important since they can affect growth and our careers. The MEC will vote on these points of views in December.

I agree these are very well written and I applaud the GA committee for taking a viewpoint separate from the standard ALPA national view. I agree with their assessment of the situations. Nicely done to all those involved.

This is one of our problems as a pilot group...people not getting and staying educated. You can delete “ALPA daily“ emails (occasionally they have some good pertinent industry related stuff in them though so may be worth a glance), but everyone should be reading everything from jbumec. They don’t send that much out. A weekly update, an occasional hot button issue, an occasional random update. But it’s about one or two emails a week max, and generally they are no more than a 5 minute read. As a union pilot, staying informed is one of the very basic responsibilities we have. Anyway, rant off, 10/17 and 11/3 are the referenced ones.
