Video interview

My friend got the link to do the video interview, the email says video interview however when he presses the button to record he only gets audio...

Are they not doing the video anymore? Only audio ??

Thanks!

The email says video interview to be scheduled but it is in fact a phone interview. That's how it was for me in August and sounds like for others it's still a phone interview.

Isn't it an audio recording interview, as in on a computer? Or is it an actual phone call with a human?

you got it right man. its a set of questions and you record your audio response for them to look it later on. Then the wait begins.

Neither. A number calls you and has automated questions asked by a computer. Then beeps and you answer...kind of like a voicemail.

So it's exactly like a computer asking you questions and recording your responses, which I was trying to point out.

As opposed to a video interview like we had earlier this year, or a phone call by a human.

I just did this on friday....you log onto the website, you click through the questions and record your answer. No telephone or video involved.

No worries. The process changes, and it's good for all to know. It's humorous when talking to a more senior pilot about the (previous) video interview and the (current) audio interview...

"What, we do a video interview?" No. And then, "What? we do an audio interview???"

Not everyone stays up to date with procedures.
