Just throwing it out there that I've had the same exact issue and have been left behind on SWA a handful of times when MyIDTravel was on the fritz and wouldn't let me create a jumpseat listing for a particular flight (pretty sure that's actually your policy--no manual gate listing allowed at all).
Doesn't make it right that that agent appears to have stiffed you against company policy, but just saying it's not an issue unique to B6--if MyIDTravel is down or just not working that day, it's virtually impossible to get on an offline jumpseat with lots of carriers (esp SWA + AA).

It's unfortunate that that gate agent stiffed you--sorry for your experience.

I miss the old days. Fill out the form and boom......done. You’re on.

Ah, the good old days, when we could just list at the gate on any airline.
Management has eroded the jumpseat bit by bit. My experience is that the non pilot airline employees resent this privilege we get, and will do anything to obstruct it.
If only we had national unions who would lift a finger to stop this listing online BS.

find your flight. click click click or point point point. Even the difficult ones like Spirit aren't that hard.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending a lazy gate agent. but after the learning curve, you should be able to list yourself in less than five min every time.

Had a ZED listing on B6, the flight fillled up and
the agent wouldn’t allow me to JS. Is that normal?
Didn’t list for JS. But come on?
The family had the last three seats on ZEDS and would have been perfect.
oh well, BOS is great in January.

- Zed Fares were S7
- OAL CASS approved S8
It is true that Zed Fares have a higher priority on the standby list, however, the AOM requires that all OAL CASS approved riders fill out the Flight Deck Jumpseat Pass Form, even if they are not sitting in the Flight Deck Jumpseat.
The cutoff time before departure to be listed and checked in at the gate:
15 min for Domestic
60 min for International

Thanks all for the responses.
I had the ZED to have same priority as the family, for $35 why not.
The flight had looked good so didn’t bother with the JS listing and learned the hard way.
Funny though on the next flight was scolded by the agent for having two listings on one flight.
My head almost exploded after a 10hr red eye and missing one flight already.
The joys of non rev, but made it and thanks for the rides!
