4 A321s leased...

Heard rumors last month that we were getting 10 A321 Neos from a European operator.

Any idea if that on the table still, are these 4 all we could get. ?

If they had secured 10 I’m sure that they’d announce 10 during today’s earnings call. The number is 4.

They will probably shed some light if they’re happy with that number or if they’re working to secure more, but without a deal done how could they announce more?

4 leased A321s and they are going to fly them in current configuration.... No TVs, No Wifi and more seats! That should go over well with customers.

Either you are just repeating what you heard, or you're intentionally being deceptive by omitting the second part of that announcement. Because that's not at all what they said they are going to do. Without pasting word for word what management published, these planes are eventually going to get new interiors, but for whatever reason they are not going to do it right away. Not saying I don't agree with the theme of your post, because I think it's a bad idea to not get them into the JB interior before EIS. But to outright say they're going to fly them in the current configuration, without elaborating on the second part is completely dishonest.

it’s true though. It’s a terrible idea and a very elementary way of doing business. The planes should never see the line in that condition. You would never see that anywhere else.

"eventually going to" for those who are fluent in BlueJet speak understand that to mean ONLY as a weak "maybe".

Thats not true. Allegiant was buying 320's and flew them all over in old paint and interiors for some time before they could work them into refurb.

We need lift that bad apparently and this is the only solution with Airbus being so delinquent on deliveries.

Fact check. We had 4 jets still sporting the CEBO tails, but Allegiant interiors, and they were on the line for about a month. The issue that caused this was 4 deliveries fell through and Allegiant had already scheduled the jets to fly, so they took 4 from induction before they had a chance to get painted to cover the schedule.

the point is still you had to use allegiant as an example because no major airline would do this. (No offense to allegiant, if I lived in a base I would love to work there) Even allegiant wouldn’t use someone else’s crappy interior on a plane they are going to fly especially when we supposedly pride ourselves on our Jetblue experience.
