Caring Value
Put this in the caring column. Or, maybe the no one cares column. Or, the power trip column.
Had a turn CNX. Already at the airport. Have another turn 6 hours from the cnx turn. Same inflight crew. Call CS and get a hotel. But, they say inflight will be airport standby. This is due to them calling earlier and switching report times to later and then earlier, as I guess they saw the delay before we reported. Needless to say that they aggravated CS, so were penalized with airport standby. Ok, whatever. However, in this case the crew room was closed for maintenance. Not opening until later tomorrow. Not a very large crew room to start with, but there’s nowhere for them to hang out except the airport. I called back to CS and essentially begged for them to come with us to the day room. Nope. Not happening. So, there’s you’re caring value rolled into one. Enjoy. -Bubs |

I don't have the contract in front of me, but it may not be their choice. Either way, it sound fatiguing. |

Its 5 hours if its a official posted delay. If its a never ending rolling delay like usual then you don't get one. Also them giving inflight crews ASB is a very common tactic used to avoid having to provide a hotel room. Even if they did not call ahead of time and get their report adjusted, CS can assign them ASB as filler to make sure a posted 5 hour delay goes under 5 hours. And if they did get their report time changed and thus their posted delay was now under 5 hours it would not even be up for discussion or consideration and I doubt they would of even wasted the breath or time to call and ask, there would be no way they'd get a hotel room. They don't even get a hotel room if CS disrupts their trip in base. They may live in SLC and bid only commutable 4 days, but too bad, your trip will be broken and you are expected to find your own accommodation while waiting for the back half of your 4 day that was turned into two 2 days by CS.
I kind of find it cute you'd even think they'd of been considered for a hotel room. Are you new here??? |

Last time I checked, no one is MAKING you work can do anything you like. You can work in another capacity if you want to or if you’re qualified. We fought our fight now you fight yours. Until then, cry me a river and I’ll take a Pepsi when you get a chance.
