Training pay?

When I look In the copy of the unsigned contract pdf all I see is 80hrs during training as pay... but some folks have posted its some tiny number like $2000. Can someone recent post the actual answer please?

80 hours are for pilots already on the seniority list. New-hires get the 2k/month until completion of LOE I believe. IOE is at first year pay.

i still don’t understand why JB needs 12 weeks to do a background check and delta can give me the job on the spot lol

Because a lot of the background check is done while you’re still in training at Delta. And they don’t give you a “job on the spot”. They give you a CJO. They can fire you in training if they found you had lied. United is the same.
JetBlue gets that all done up front. Just a different way of doing business.

First year pay starts after your checkride is complete.

The pay isn't really out of the "ball park".....2K isn't huge but they cover meals at the training facility with a per diem amount for daily use and lodging is free. Delta pays almost 4K (before taxes) but lodging and food is on you. Although not completely equitable, it's a decent arrangement and is comparable...........unless you live in ATL and don't have a lodging expense while in training for DAL.....

If you only hit the salad bar for lunch and dinner, you’ll have a few extra bongo bucks to buy candy and laundry detergent with. Use your monopoly money every day though because it doesn’t carry over. I think I owed 7 dollars when I checked out.

Apparently it’s all food trucks I heard while construction is being conducted on expanding OSC. No idea if it’s good or not or what it costs.

They're gone now. Kitchen has limited capacity, but is functioning again.

Delta background only takes 5 business days, while you’re on the pool swimming.

Delta training pay is $5,091.20(pretax). They will give you a hotel for Indoc. If they send you to sims somewhere else (like MIA, LAS, etc), they will pay hotel per diem. Also, 16% to the 401k + Profit S starts from day 1.

Just passing on what I was told by JB HR.
I specifically asked this question during my interview.

Most guys/gals at JB just don't understand how far behind they are.

It is sad that Delta doesn’t cover hotels for new hires during the second part of the training and uniforms (not even an allowance). I understand the training pay, but no hotels for part of the training, is not cool. ALPA doesn’t want to spend negotiation capital on it.
