Jetblue’s silence is deafening

Unless I’m missing something here, I don’t see how that justifies pay protection. Not sure that’s a grievance ALPA will take your side on.

I’d assume not since they aren’t required. But to each their own, I’m just not wearing one.
I mean we haven’t worn them for last 2 months, flown to every hotspot in the USA, and now suddenly we’re gonna wear them and it’s gonna save us all???
I see a lot of people wear the masks wrong, or they don’t fit correctly, remove it so they can talk on a germ infested phone etc...it just seems impossible to completely isolate yourself from it. All for something that is only making the vast majority or people that get it sick like a flu!

Except now the company requires a mask on the flight deck. At least for now. I understand your reasoning, but you’re saying you’ll walk off the job rather than follow company policy (in spite of that policy changing daily).

It’s been said already, but they’re not required. Already spoke with our union-if Captain insists on FO wearing one, we can leave and are pay protected. Some Captains I fly with are more worried about this virus than others. I respect their choice to wear one; I’m just using one on the flight deck.

OK, I read this in the JFK Chief Pilot update and took it to mean all frontline crew members, i.e. pilots.
JetBlue will require the use of face coverings for all frontline Crewmembers
Masks will be available in the Chief Pilots Office during office hours. Masks/Wipes will be in the vFile room for after hours.
We currently have a limited supply. Please only take just one per day to ensure availability for all who may need them.
