Which is why I ask. “Hey man these are crazy times. You seem like you have a cold..” More than a few guys with “allergies” have dragged in sick for pay. Especially when PTO could be sold back at 150%.

Every hour of PTO will make a difference if furloughed, especially for a junior FO who’s at most risk. That’s a difficult conversation to have.

I start coughing as soon as I set foot on the 320 because the air on it is toxic.

Even if it’s just allergies, we’re still inhaling the mucus that gets aerosoled around the flight deck when someone sneezes and those droplets can contain infectious levels of nastiness. An asymptotic carrier that sneezes because of allergies is still spreading the virus.
