I'm not a flica guy and finally signed up for alerts back late last year. I didn't have a schedule because I went through transition so I figured alerts would be a good way to build from a 0 hour line and maybe get some good stuff. Nope. Nothing but frustration. I'd get an alert but never see anything drop into open time, or sometimes I'd see a new trip in open time and by the time I clicked on it it was already taken.

I've since cancelled flica alerts and don't plan to return. It was more of a headache than anything else for me. If this COVID stuff blows over and we manage to keep our jobs then I'll go back to my old ways of basically fly what I'm awarded.

Also, for the gurus who don't want to keep EVERY secret to themselves, how is it that a trip goes into open time, you submit for it, and it's pending for a while and then says "denied" "pairing XYZ not available"?

It's easy to understand when it says "picked up by emp ####", but how is it just "not available"?

I dunno. But I know it happens, by the time flica triggers the alert it goes out you look at your phone sign in click click click... 2-5min or more has past and that trip is gone. Sometimes it lags in open time. Even though it’s gone.

If we're gonna change something, how about we stop that BS from happening. I actually do remember now trying for a trip, didn't get it and then saw it on the tradeboard. If you have no intention of flying, why are you even taking it.
