Hard to say, but right now, the plug in LAX is a 09/2019 hire. Prior to the pandemic, some new hires were getting LAX. With the amount of open time and the projected increase in flying in LAX, I could see them adding more crews there, but until we see a bid coming thru, it is hard to say.

I’m so confused by what is even going on.
the cancellation shows negative vacancies in plenty of seats and bases. So we have this cancellation bid, then apparently another bid in June then the annual bid in august? That’s quite a lot of bidding over the next 3 months. I wouldn’t expect a lot of openings in LAX until likely the august bid. Even then the cancelation shows negative numbers in lax through December.
I guess I’m just confused. June I would expect to simply be just 190 FO openings only. So likely no movement then and then possibly august will have later effective date with some sort of movement.

yah the trips in CA open time for June. Woof.
always enjoy when I hear about how someone would go to FedEx because of their red eye night flying. The open time that is in LAX looks a lot worse in my opinion than what I have heard from my FedEx friends.

I’d be happy to see any growth or signs of improvement out here. Obviously not a priority right now, but we can dream, I suppose. The only time I see the sun on these trips is on the tail end of a redeye.
