I read the entire sentence, then I asked you a question. If you don't want to answer, fine.

Fact: New mil to 121 pilots know less about scope than previous 121 pilots. No hate.

Your optimism is unfounded. This vote was a preview of Contract 2.0. The company and pilot group just had a one-year staring contest and we blinked first.
This LOA was a shot across the bow, and the company surely learned a great deal from today’s results. They go into negotiations with all the leverage and we go in from a position of weakness.
Contract 2.0 was decided today. If you fail to see this, it just shows you are still playing checkers.

Why anyone is surprised is beyond me. This is a pilot group that ALWAYS settles for mediocrity. Led on by a measly 3% raise and depending on months of service another measly sum of money that is made over the course of 2-3 VDA’s.
It’s why we will ALWAYS be a 2nd rate pilot group, and never be INDUSTRY LEADING in anything. We used to have industry leading scope, until we just gave it away for PENNIES.
pathetic.

He doesn’t hate servicemembers. He just recognizes the fact that most did not spend a decade fighting for table scraps at a regional, therefore they have little knowledge of what the company can accomplish when the union gets weak-kneed over Section 1.

For those of you with reading comprehension issues (since we are throwing out made up assertions, let me guess, that’s why you got stuck in medevac 60s lol):
My statement was in reference to a likely C17 pilot who came straight to jetblue without having to live in the lost decade and feel the regional food stamp pain, much of which was due to scope erosion/sales, who then comes bragging about his yes vote to give scope relief. Classic case of a mil guy who came straight to the majors and doesn’t know the history of the airline industry, hasn’t read hard landing or flying the line, and who has no idea what the potential ramifications are of allowing a joint venture where jetblue can take in revenue from American Eagle RJs and American widebodies without having to spend a dime in acquisition or operating costs to do so.
This should work out real well in 2025-2026 when our smallest plane is a 140 seater, RJ pilot shortage has stabilized, a potential AA bankruptcy has happened and lowered their cost structure, and then we can’t even begin to attempt to unwind it until 2032.
But yeah, glad your takeaway is that I hate my fellow servicemembers.

And now that this LOA will be codified to your CBA on next Sec6 (which it will, it will be a dealbreaker item for the company, and since you agreed to it once, an arbitrator will award it) You just sold all of your scope protections for 3%. Interesting choice that hurts every passenger airline pilot group. But majority has spoken.

We’ll vote yes on the first offer, so we better get it right.
