And there it is, few posts into a new thread and this guy can't help himself and repeats his talking points. Frontier can't afford jet bridges in Denver that's why they are resorting to ground gates. You are something else, if frontier can't afford the jet bridges why are they offering billions of dollars to merge with spirit?

The ULCC model has limited demand for routes that operate daily outside of MCO, LAS and cheap Florida vacations. Frontier and Spirit already are competing heavily on those specific routes, and have realized most of their new routes can't be daily service, since the demand isn't there outside of MCO, LAS and cheap Florida vacations... The two airlines are already cannibalizing each other's demand on those routes, so they now realize they must merge or just keep competing with each on the same routes with same business model fighting over mostly the same customers other airlines don't want.
